The law office is devoted to the representation of nonprofit, tax-exempt and mission-driven organizations. Whether your organization is well established, in its formative years, or simply at the planning stage, I offer experienced counsel on a full range of legal matters.

My commitment to the nonprofit sector dates back to the beginning of my career. Before I became a lawyer I worked for a number of nonprofit organizations, holding positions in academic, development, programmatic and administrative capacities. Through this experience I gained an insider’s understanding of the workings of a nonprofit organization and the varied perspectives of its board, staff and volunteers.

After earning my J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1999, I continued to work in the nonprofit sector, initially as an Associate in the Exempt Organizations Group of the Manhattan law firm Patterson, Belknap, Webb & Tyler and later at the Mann Legal Group, a highly regarded nonprofit boutique firm. Most recently I held positions as Assistant General Counsel at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and as Associate General Counsel at Columbia University in New York.

My family and I first came to Sullivan County 25 years ago, spending as much time as possible at our home in Cochecton. Eight years ago we were at last able to make Cochecton and Sullivan County our permanent home and professional base. Since then I've been involved with our area's vibrant and indispensable nonprofit community and have witnessed the positive impact a well-run organization can have on our region and beyond. I've been honored to serve as a volunteer director on the boards of several Sullivan County nonprofits and understand the dedication required to make an organization grow and flourish.
